Yoga for Social Exhaustion
Burnout is another layer of chronic exhaustion that drains both body and mind. It’s that sense of running on empty, sliding into cynicism, and feeling you’ve nothing left to give. Yoga won’t ‘fix’ burnout overnight, but it can offer a safe place to land and a gentle way to reconnect with yourself.
For those working remotely, exhaustion shows up differently: endless video calls, blurred boundaries, the pressure to always be available, and the isolating silence in between.
Of course, yoga isn’t a cure-all. If your work environment is unsustainable, those bigger issues matter too. But while you navigate those challenges, yoga can help you find steadiness, restore energy, and build resilience.
Sometimes you’re socially exhausted - especially if your work keeps you ‘on’ with people all day. When you feel peopled out, that’s often the best time to come to class. Here, you don’t need to talk, mingle, or keep up appearances.
Yoga is about grounding yourself, no matter who else is in the room. The focus is inward—your own breath, your own body. You’re practising alongside others, but never performing for them. The space holds us together, while the work is your own.
