Motivating Students

Our primary objective is for students to leave feeling relaxed and energised, not depleted. Poses, transitions, breath and rest are arranged according to their purpose, with adaptations made within the logic of the sequence rather than outside it. The intention is a practice that supports life beyond the mat, not one that demands recovery from the effort of practising.

Feeling relaxed and energised is what brings people back. Feeling better in their own bodies is the reason to keep practising, and it’s what makes the space inclusive: anyone can find their way in.

Building, or rebuilding, spine and hip strength takes time. So how do we motivate students to return?
